Nov 7 Car Caravan to San Felipe early Evening
The wife and I are going to San Felipe for the weekend Nov 7 and we can't leave Phoenix before 1pm. Is anyone going to be going down that wants to
caravan from the border at about 5 or 5:30 (AZ Time). If you are interested send me a U2U
Thanks

Big group from Punta Banda also headed to SF on 11/7 but going via Ensenada!

Has it really gotten so bad in Baja that you would consider caravaning to a town 2 hours below the border? Is Mexicali really that bad?

No, I just drive down to PDO a few weeks ago late at night, but my eye sight is not the best and I thought a few of the Hay haulers were going to push
me off the road. I feel better if I can follow behind someone, it is easier fo me.

Now, that makes perfect sense.
Good luck with finding someone. I expect you will.

This is probably a long shot but we're planning on crossing that day late morning/ midday. Any chance of making it down sooner?
Besides being dark at 5:30, I understand there's some serious road construction detours in Mexicali now which would be a real cluster fluff to hit at
rush hour.

Thanks for the message.
I wish I could get out of town before that, but the wife has to work until one. I am going to cross at either San Luis or Algedones Saturday instead.
I have a huge trailer and just dont feel comfortable driving at night with my eyes.

driving
I agree with El Camote,, I would not go thru Mexicali at that time,,, with a big trailer,, major road construction going on,, and many detours,, it
would be a b-tch for you,, I am an old guy and do not like to drive at night,, you should rethink about your timing,, going thru Algondonas,, is the
best route, you can miss Mexicali look on your map,, cant remember the route,, but its alot better at this time ..I will tomorrow try to find it for
you
