CROSSING TECATE

Does anyone or has anyone crossed TECATE in the last few days? I really want to go thru there on Monday, 12/22 coming from ENSENADA going NORTH, some people I know went thru Tuesday and the roads were bad, But my question is have they cleared everything?

Thanks for any updates appreciated.

it'll be bad traveling the last 10 miles to ensenada for a few months

they have only one paved lane right now so
they are only letting one side go at a time

you'll have a little delay right near ensenada

if its not raining you'll be fine

if it rains stay in california until it clears

I'm coming from Ensenada on Monday 12/22 Going North to the STATES. I realize the delays for the first 10 or so miles leaving Ensenada, I need to know how the road is from all the rains and slides not the constrution, I wanted to know if it has all been cleared? I would imagine with all the trucks traveling that route they would clear it? but again we are talking MEXICO, thank you and if any one is going or has been in the past couple of days could update me please

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL THE NOMADS, WHAT A GREAT BUNCH OF PEOPLE, MAY YOU ALL PROSPER IN THE NEW YEAR, WITH ALL THE CHANGES THAT ARE ABOUT TO HAPPEN.
God Bless you All

We went through Ensenada, up Mex 3 to Tecate two weeks ago. There is construction as Mextrans is trying to four-lane it to the wine country, but you are driving on pavement. The lane additions are on each side.

We travelled from north to south on Wednesday the 17th. It was late afternoon and howling rain but had no problems. Got gas and a Cafe Latte in Valle de Guadalupe then charged on through to Ensenada. There was nothing blocking the southbound road. The northbound lane appeared scraped down to below ground level, however because of construction so perhaps Mex-Trans is escorting traffic on the southbound lane. Have a safe trip, and welcome to Baja for Christmas!
