Camping in the valle San Isidro/La Purisima?

Hey gang we're looking to hook up with some friends (a couple) who will come up from Todos Santos to meet us. We have a camper, they will have a small one.

Is there any place along the water or in the trees along the water where anyone has camped before?

Does anyone have a contact that I could talk to there about staying a couple of nights on their property?

Not looking for a vacant lot, but perhaps some place secluded within walking distance of the "big city".

I have traveled through there in the past, but didn't stay long.

Thanks!

As you leave La Purisima towards San Isidro the road drops off a plateau. On the left, about 1/2 mile from the top of the grade is a dirt road that goes down to the river and crosses it in about 1/2 mile. I think you would be fine camping there as there are no houses close. You could tell the folks at the community tienda (on the right, past the delegation) that you want to camp there while you are buying some supplies, whether you need them or not. Within an hour everyone in town will know who you are and what you are doing there. On Google Earth the turn is at 26.191442;-112.067771 and the river crossing is at 26.199378;-112.069098. Right at the top of the grade is another road to the left which goes to 3 or 4 nice houses on the edge of the cliff. You could ask them where to camp also.
