if you were crossing the border tomorrow
Tomorrow being Saturday, Dec 27, and had to be at the SD airport at, let's say, no later than 12:30; what time do you need to leave Ensenada and which
crossing should you head for?

Considering that having to be at the airport at 12:30 already has figured in the time prior to departure, I would leave downtown Ensenada at 9:30 to
10AM considering thatbthere have been short waits the last coupple of days.
This is non Sentri.

IMHO- You should allow 2 hours in line (non sentry) alone. It's been busy due to holiday shoppers and Saturday specials will be huge. On weekdays
there's a lull around 10- but I wouldn't count on that on a saturday with school out.

I always cross at Otay. Never been more than an hour.
If it was me I like to be across by 11:30 and give myself 1 hour to get to the airport.
I think I'd like to see the tail end of the line by about 10:30.
I'd give myself 1 hour to get from the flag in Ensenada to the line.
So adding 30 min safety cushion I'd be driving past Anthony's (reluctantly) at 9:00.

If I had a fully refundable plane ticket I might take a chance and leave less than two hours. If I was a passenger and could bail-out and take the

Buck-I crossed at Otay and the wait was over four hours...anything is possible.

Hey Vince and Kathleen,
We came home today and the line was very very long at San Ysidro heading north when we crossed at about 10am. It was backed up past the fire dept
downtown.
I would suggest Otay but for a 12:30 flight I would leave here by 7:30am.

That's right Zac! However, Ferna LIVES in Tijuana.... and he just posted a local newspaper that reads and shows no wait in line???!!
Ferna, I really don't want to keep this up since you and I are friends... But this is exactly my point between FIRST HAND report of road conditions by
one of us Nomads who were just there, VS. a newspaper article... what I once labled as "hear-say" or SECOND HAND source of information.
You understand I am in to Nomads having the best, up-to-date details from other Nomads as a prefered source over local papers which may have an
agenda.
American newspapers have agendas as well...

Well, they left our house at about 7:20. Flight is at 2:30. We are waiting to here from them as to how long it took to cross! They are probably
just arriving at the border right now.

What does "you and I are friends" have to do with this. I posted a picture from the hear-say source because I personaly crossed and there was no wait
but I did not have a camera with me. From our home we have a clear view of the San Ysidro border crossing so it's first hand Nomad information as
opposed to one that lives in Rosarito, to me that is hear-say.

I always thought it was more about the agenda of the day from Homeland Security. I've gone through in twenty minutes, and waited three and a half
hours. Sometimes, the guys are opening doors and hatches and trunks frequently. Looking for Osama, I guess.
