Not in the wrong category Jerry, just not too clear. Durmax has to do with concrete and what is Duramex? If it has to do with a car/truck engine most larger mechanic shops in San Quintin should have car computer analyzers. They're pretty much everywhere nowadays.

If you can't find a reader try posting your symptoms on this website: http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/index.php

Maybe one of the members can point you in the right direction. There are a lot of mechanics that post on this site that can be a big help.

If you do find a reader try posting the code and symptoms. Usually someone can identify exactly what's wrong. Hopefully it's something that's a quick fix.

Sorry you're having problems, but if you have time when this is resolved would you mind posting what your problem was and how you fixed it? I also have a new Duramax and would like to hear what happened.

Hope it works out well.

I believe you need a Diagnostic Code Reader for OBDII. Many mechanics have them in the San Quintin area. They are not that expensive. Then if there is an error code you have to cross reference the code to english text. that they may not have for that particular truck (Duramax Diesels not being common in that area).

Hope this helps

It might not be necessary to read the codes if you can describe the problem.
