This article is old, speculative, and doesnt have a thing to do with the truck involved with this post.

They will get the truck from Tijuana tomorrow and hopefully the problem will be discovered quickly, and will not be serious.

Since his laptop died, he can't take advantage of wi-fi at the Chula Vista RV park---so, it may take a little longer, but I know he plans on reporting all the details.

Diver and Mrs. Diver had very good things to say about you---said you were not anything like your avatar.

Truck is at a Ford dealer in Chula Vista, Divers are at an RV park in Chula Vista---they did not hear from the dealer yesterday, but hope they will today.

They have one of our cars so they can get around---Mrs. Diver and kids rode bikes to the Chula Vista Nature center---which BTW is a nice and interesting place to visit, and today plans are for them to go to the San Diego Zoo---so they are making the best of it and having fun!

But they are anxious to get the verdict on the truck.

Diane

What an ordeal! Great that the Baja Nomad family is everywhere... Very kind of the Trotters for all they are doing, too!

The fact that it is taking them this long tells me that it was not something simple. Either that or the dealer's service department is backed up...

Not to detract from FDT in the slightest, but me thinks there was a larger than normal cast of heros who went over & above in this particular saga!!:bounce:

A lot of us did try to help but Fernando was always the common thread, keeping it all connected and trying to get these nice folks back on the road...

I am also amazed at all that you guys have done in helping these nice folks Diane. My hat is off to all of you.

So when are we going to get a mechanics report? I really am curious now...

I fully acknowledge it was an excellent group effort but Ferna has been there for all and anyone who needs help...always...all ways...thanks to all involved.

Waiting, waiting, waiting. I hope they have heard by now.

We are planning on all going out for Thai food tonight and Mrs. Diver said she hoped it would be a celebration dinner.
