Jardines??
Can someone give us directions to Jardines? We'd like to stop by on our way down to Mulege next week.

OK, you pass through San Quintin and Lazaro Card##as. On the east side of the highway is the big Federal Police station, and a very good tow company.
First you see the road on the right to the Old Mill and the next turn you see the big sign for Jardines---it says it is only 900 meters away.
Drive to what looks like the end of the road, about 900 meters. Turn left on the road that Guillermo grades. 
You pass the Los Olivos RV park, the lots and homes being built, and see about a thousand palm trees. The hotel is rather hidden behid the palm
trees and the sign for the first driveway says Jardines Restaurant---their old sign. You can turn in there or turn into the big parking lot before
the restaurant.
It all sounds confusing, and believe me it is not. You will have no trouble finding it. You will feel like you are walking into someone's home, and
you are. Carmen and Guillermo make you feel at home.
Depending on when you are going, you might want to call a head. When we first stayed there, it was not a problem, but more and more people are
finding them.
When we went down last Friday, it is a good thing we called because they fillled up.
You will love it!
For walking the dog, we walk across the street to the open fields.

Jardines is on the very southern end of San Quintin (the next turn off after the road to the Old Mill hotel). You will see a sign on the west side of
Mex 1 for Jardines. When you turn off of Mex 1, drive down the dirt road for about a mile, then make a left at the T in the road. After you make the
left at the T in the road, Jardines will be about a quarter mile down the road on your right. I stayed there twice on my last trip. A clean and
reasonable hotel.

You didn't expose the url, just a hyper link to it 'Jardines'. My thinking is when someone sees the actual url (hotel-jardinesbaja.com) they may
remember it better for future use than to try and find where on Baja Nomad that link was posted.

Guillermo and Carmen are very gracious to allow you to keep a dog with you in the room. The grounds are lush and manicured better than Disneyland and
the only thing they ask is that you pick up after your dog. I suggest bringing a supply of bags just for that purpose. They have a garbage can
available for disposal in the garden area.
Last time we were there I noticed a couple of the other guests didn't bother to pick up after their dogs. Don't want to see it ruined for the rest of
us so we just cleaned up after them. Hopefully Nomads do better...

We always try to get our dogs quickly out to the street and field on the other side of the street---just in case we always have bags.
Like you, I hate to see it ruined for dog owners. Carmen said that at first she did not want to allow dogs, but decided to give it a try.
We really hope people will not ruin it for the rest of us dog owners.

We use the same strategy Diane. Seems like Dakota always ends up in that field across the road and as it is plowed I assumed we were just adding
fertilizer.

I agree, it is such a beautiful clean place, it is really nice that they even allow dogs. Please everyone clean up after your pets, we really enjoy
staying there.
What we see depends mainly on what we look for.

That field can give really good exercise for the dogs at times when a big ole jack rabbit appears.
Especially first thing in the morning, we drag them as fast as we can to at least get to the dirt street before nature takes over.
