Hey, the Diver clan has been through an ordeal, and no one can blame them if a little typo about help from Nomad family and the Trotters ..",too." comes through.

I had to read it twice to see the mis-insinuation.

I feel confident in assuming the intent of Diver's post is inclusive and with special mention to the Trotters.

I'm not going to get hung up on a typo, I'm going enjoy the sucesses of the storey.

Diver clan,
Glad your home, sorry you're not still in the warm sun where the rest of us stuck-in-the-cold nomads would like to be. And I am very glad to have seen via the posts of all the efforts of everyone to help stranded travelers.

pay it forward..................................

Diver,
Glad to here you finally made it home.I think I now how to fix your problem with your pickup;

1 Remove radiator cap
2 carefully roll broken truck back
3 drive new truck under radiator cap
4 push broken truck off cliff :o:O:lol:

Opps, it was not a Diver post---it was a post from David K

The Diver family are like family--Mrs. Diver is a really super person, the kids are great and Diver? well, OK, he is OK too even if he thinks I need to learn to really like sushi.:lol:

And, he mentioned that the kids saw us as like their grandparents, a compliment we appreciate---enjoy being grandparents to those two kids, but we are NOT old enough to be Diver''s parents. :P

Really sorry that it was not clear.

Just a quick follow up,

I believe that those involved in this saga acted as most of us would have if we had been in the position to help. I know I and my family would have helped in any way possible. The key being..."those who were in a position to help". Most of us (and I'm referring to humankind as a whole) will jump in and help. We have been blessed to read about a recent saga with many heros.

Here's good wishes to all and to all.......a good night's sleep with your favorite pillow!

Don't be so sure of that---in this thread about the Diver situation, http://forums.bajanomad.com/viewthread.php?tid=36325&pag...

David K posted,

What an ordeal! Great that the Baja Nomad family is everywhere... Very kind of the Trotters for all they are doing, too!

Gave us a good chuckle---sure sounds like we are not "family":lol:

Don't worry David, we are not into the family idea---just a network for assistance, information, discussion, and where some good friends are made, including friendships with quality ex-nomads

Diane

Edited for clarity.

I'm not quite sure where DK went wrong here. To me, it appears he is paying you a compliment. I'm sure he'll pipe in but I read his statement as nothing but positive. Not too sure why you're dogging him?

You are entitled to your interpretation and your opinion---look up the meaning of too, the one with the two o's. It is the same as "also"---or in addition to.

We think the wording was quite Freudian, and with that, we got a good laugh.

Meantime, we will choose with whom we chose to be family, so to speak.

At the risk of offending some or all, sibblings or just good samaritans, I am glad you made it back and am not surprised at the generosity of Roberto, if it's the one I know.

Please do let us know what the final diagnosis was, as well as the solution. I agree completely with your plan to use an independent diesel mechanic; I have heard and experienced good things from indies.

Saw one yesterday going by my house. Their trucks are more white than green with green trim.

??? What in the world ???

I was relieved to hear Diver made it home... I was complimenting those who were able to help... everyone.

I don't know who 'norte' is, but that he/she came into this thread to flame me is most interesting. There is no interpretation needed Diane, just read the words. Thank you for helping Diver... Thanks Baja Gringo, Fernando and Roberto, too... and anyone else (Nomad, non-Nomad). (period)

Yep, I told Roberto that he is missed by many around here, but I don't think there is a chance he will return. At least we finally got to meet him and are staying in contact.

Diver,

Are all the chickens accounted for and did they and the horse miss all of you?

Horse, now that is a good idea---maybe Kit would like to pull the trailer next time.

David,
Get a grip---no one is flaming you nor dogging you. Your post did not read the way you intended it to read---happens to everyone, and the literal reading of your statement gave us a good laugh.
