Two Blondes in Rosarito

My wife has a daughter that turns 30 this year and she wants to do something special for her.She asked me what I thought about her and her daughter takeing her car( A BRIGHT RED CORVETTE) and driveing to Rosarito.I said I did not think two good looking blonde girls in a Red Corvette would be very safe. She wants to stay at the Calfina hotel.
I told her I would feel better if she took her on a cruise or flew to Cabo.
What do you think?

I think they aren't doing much to break the blonde stereotype.

Fly to San Diego, rent a convertible from Avis and drive to Rosarito......better yet, Ensenada....stay at Los Rocas:

http://community.iexplore.com/planning/journalEntryAccommoda...

Then pop over to Sano's for a great dinner.

Can also do a quick day trip and visit some wineries north of Ensenada

edit for spelling....sheesh

I like the options; a cruise or Cabo, Loreto or Hawaii for that matter.
Ya gotta be kidding about taking the vette ??

Why would you care what we think? If it were my stepdaughter I certainly wouldn't be asking your advice. I'd be telling her and her mother that the idea is really, really, stoopid.

Rosarito is not "special." Rosarito is a dump, and the beach is polluted/unsafe to swim. Your plan will result in very depressing 30th birthday. Suggest you look at alternate destinations if looking for "special" trip that does not require anti-depressants.

I don't see any date mentioned as for the timing of the trip. I have to agree with most that Rosarito would not fit the definition of special. Aside from the heart of spring break, there are abundant bargains. Cruise lines are begging for customers- offering on-board credit and free upgrades. As for Cabo, there are a whole bunch of hotels offering 1 or 2 free nights depending on the length of stay. Cabo would be just a tad nicer and a bit safer than Rosarito. Personally, I love Ensenada. But it's kind of chilly there right now. For me, it's a couple hour drive. I note that you guys would be coming from N. CA. Fly to Cabo, or drive to Long Beach and hop a cruise.
