We are driving to San Felipe on Sunday morning March 1st. We stop and shop at the Food Max in the morning and then go on across from there. Ususally at the new border. We would like to go with another people if possible. Nancy

This has got to be about the most benign journeys into Mexico. Forgive me, but wanting to convoy on that trip?

Fear... Mexico now means fear to many people who are still compelled to go there.

Traveling with others (in a convoy) provides a sense of safety... and could deter a single vehicle from being the target of roving highway bandits.

If only honest people were allowed by law to protect themselves with firearms, then this wouldn't be an issue anymore.

Unfortunately, when a government makes self protection (gun ownership) a crime... then only thugs will have guns and honest people will be at the mercy of the thugs.

How many crooks would try and rob or harm you if they knew you had a gun on you? In Mexico, all the crooks know that Americans aren't allowed to possess hand guns... makes tourists open targets.

Fortunately, the vast majority of Mexicans are great, honest people and none of us who love Baja will ever cross pathes with the small criminal population.
