Is it true?

Recently a story was posted here about a very serious car accident.
It was a first time post by someone that is a complete stranger to the board. And the story is 100% unvarifiable.
Now you are being asked to donate blood. Are any of you going to traval to a Tijuana hospital to donate blood? I'm not and I live fairly close.
If this is a con then this person knows that. So I would anticipate the next request to be for cash.
I hope I am wrong about this. But it is quite possible that this person was a lurker who is aware that many people here are willing to help those in need.
I have tried to verify this story and have not be able to verify any part of it. And some parts may be true. And some parts could be complete lies
So be careful. No one on this board knows this person.
It may be a true story. Or it may be a very clever emotional con job.

Fishy- I think you may be a little too cynical here. The last post neither stated that there was a confirmed need for blood, nor did it ask for it. Only making the assumption that if needed, some folks on this board (are nice enough) may offer. Let it play out. No crime yet. Probably never.

Ok Bucko, If you send me a donation for gas money, lunch for me and the kids and enough to buy a phone card I'll investigate for you

Welcome to Baja Nomad Mike. Thank you very much for having stoped to help these people. FYI it was a hit and run and both were taken to the Cruz Roja Hospital as you can see here :
http://www.el-mexicano.com.mx/noticias/estatal/2009/02/26/ca...

I did call right now to check and of course information can not be given over the phone but they are both alive. I wasn't even told if they were stable, the most I got is that the child is still there and the father is there, they did not tell me were the mother was transfered to.
You've not only rudely challenged the honesty, integrity & motives of MikeLikeBaja simply because of what he posted as his first post, but now you're also challenging fdt's veracity, as well as the news source he provided AND fdt's confirming telephone call to the hospital??????

Give it a rest, it's been made abundantly clear by many other posters on the original thread that you are alone in your cynical disillusions.

Of course no one here would expect you to go to TJ to donate blood....you've personally thoroughly documented the fact that you only go to TJ to donate sperm & puke!

Legs, isn't it a little hard for you to stay on your high horse when you mind and mouth are in the gutter? Please cease your personal attacks on me immediately or I will report you.
These internet scams are quite common. And FDT has not be able to verify any part of this story. No one has.
There was a small newspaper story. How do you know that the poster didn't just read the same story in the paper and then inject themselves in it to scam you here?
It happens.

How does this come close to qualifying as an internet scam? No has asked for anything? Or do have proof that the original poster is Nigerian?

Poor fishbuck, he is clearly displaying the symptoms related to can't-fly-to-baja-sindrome. Recent studies show it will get worse unless the patient seeks attention from the late night care givers of Avenida Revolucion.
