Walk through at San Ysidro

I'm going North through the border at San Ysidro using the Sentri lanes soon, taking a non SENTRI pass holder with me.
If he is to walk through using the pedestrian route, where can I pick him up at when we are both across the border?

There is a McDonalds and a Jack-In-The-Box within view as you come out of the walk through. Either one would work. I would suggest Jack-In-The-Box as it has its own parking. Easier to access in my opinion.

Easier for you if he walks 200 yards up the street to Col. Sanders. The closer you get to the end of the road, the more messy it gets.

As you leave the boarder take your first exit, and it will dump ya on to San Ysidro Blvd. You can't go to the boarder station but if you take a Left on to San Ysidro Blvd. there will be a Jack in the Box or Gateway Inn.
If you can, try going to Google Earth http://maps.google.com/ You can get a good view of the area.

When we have walkers we try and utilize Otay crossing. Once had to wait 90 minutes for wife to walk across at SY when she forgot her Sentri pass.:dudette::O

Google Earth does give a great view of the crossing. It looks like my vehicle needs to stay to the right of the secondary inspection area and then take an immediate right exit and then a left on San Ysidro Blvd. That sound right?
That sound right?
Problem might be if they vector all traffic to the left of the secondary inspection area in which case you would miss the exit!

Dennis,
I'm taking YOUR next door neighbor; you think he'd walk any further than he had to! LOL

Tell him there's free chicken at Col. Sanders and he'd walk to Portland.
