Im not sure about Tecate but I am crossing San Ysidro around 4:30 am. I'll be driving a black dodge Quad cab loaded to the max w/ windows. I'm going straight thru to Loreto.

Thanks Bajario. May see you on the way after Ensenada. Anyone crossing at Tecate in the morning?

I know that the U.S side at Tecate is open from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m., pulled it from the Border Patrol Wait Times website just now...

I would only assume that the Mexi side is open at the same time...But I'm assuming, and you know where that can lead...

Haven't had a bad trip yet....

Fixtrauma,
I don't know where you're at this moment, but coming through the San Ysidro crossing is a lot easier then going through Tecate at the moment with all the roadwork going on on HW 3.
Going north is a different story, but believe me, coming down through SY is the preferred way at the moment.
Have a safe trip and watch out for those holiday drivers.
