B & B in Guadalupe Valley -

I searched the posts and found only one place that was discussed.

Anyone have experience with either a B & B or nice motel in the wine country area of Guadalupe Valley?

We stayed at El Mezon del Vino last year and had a wonderful room and
more than reasonable prices. I believe it was below 80.00 . Book well ahead if you are going on a weekends because they all are booked way out by the tour operators. You can goggle
and find a great article written about the wineries, it tells of some little ones you may never find. Full of information. Great restaurants, our favorite was one
that was set in a nursery. Excellent food and wonder atmosphere!

You may be refering to the nursery in San Antonio De Las Minas. Nice setting, for sure.

B + B Wine Country

My wife and I stayed at La Villa del Valle this past week for our anniversary, it is a fantastic place to stay. Upscale, make sure you make reservations to eat dinner there also as Omar the Chef is fantastic!! Pricey compared to some of the places but well worth it.:tumble::tumble::tumble::tumble::tumble::tumble:

Adobe Guadulupe

About two years ago, we had lunch there with visiting friends from L.A.

Stunning property with a vista to forever. The house has about ten rooms for rent, all decorated beautifully.

There are vineyards, olive groves and a cava wine cellar. Besides the very good wine, they also offer a superb extra virgin olive oil.

The owner is a retired broker from Laguna Beach, CA; his wife is Swedish (?) and she raises show quality, award winning Fresians, wowing the upper class Mexicans. (The stable is a mini copy of the Chateau Chevaux in France, near Versaille).

You can fine dine, tour the winery, the vineyard, the stables and go for a trail ride.

Ain't cheap, but I would pay for the full experience in a hot second.

I second this vote. We stayed a night there a couple of years ago and it was fantastic. Not for the cheap of heart. If overnighting, be sure to get there in time for a glass of wine in the hot tub for sunset. We also stayed a night at the Villa del Valle, but the atmosphere was a little to staid for my taste.
