Rosarito Bike Race
I'm amazed not one person has reported on this? BIKE RACE, I would think as big as this use to be, there would be some interest? I have no interest,
other than curiosity, I was wondering how many people showed up for this race? or how many were hanging around Rosarito Beach on Saturday April 19th.
If some one was there or has a report I would really appreciate a fairly accurate number of people that showed up as well as participited.

Bike race a bust
Just returned from the free road near Puerto Nuevo. At 10:30 there are normally several dozen bikes passing by every minute. I counted 16 in 5
minutes. This could be the last hurrah.
Hurrah!

I would estimate 2,000-2,500. The official count is supposedly 4,700 but I honestly didn't see that reflected in riders. If I were the cities/sponsors
I would probably inflate the numbers, though.

fyi, it's not a RACE, but more of a supported fun ride
all tourism is way down in Baja, so ride numers are probably way down too

Consider me a cyclist, been doing it for decades, centuries, double centuries, you name it. Sorry, I would never do the Rosarito ride, way too much
driving and hassle for far too little riding.

You sound like you only get out of bed for a double century or pop tarts -- why don't you ride the Rosarito course 4 times in the time it takes us
mortals to complete course one time, and show us how inferior we are. We will all grovel at your throne.
Don't be a Fred.

The fact that there was a high turnout of Mexican entrants is a good thing. Lest someone forget that the race is in Mexico
