May 3rd, Dia de la Santa Cruz

On may 3rd 1535, Hernan Cortes disembarked for the first time on the bay that is now La Paz, naming it Bahia de la Santa Cruz.
Feliz Cumpleaņos La Paz.

Happy aniversary in La Paz Kate.

I believe this is like "workers day" for all the guys who build houses. So any of you with workers you value...buy em a case of beer or some meat to BBQ to show your respect for their work.

Funder's Day is celebrated in La Paz, but the eclectic statuary fronting on the Malecon doesn't incllude anything resembling a conquistador--though now there's a second fisherman.

Mexico is the only country to have a holiday for everyday of the year. If its not a great battle of the revolution(which one) its some phantom battle that no one can remember happening.
Hey FDT,your country is full of folks that seem to think they have some sense of history and culture,I've got news for you. It is nothing more than a training ground for gardeners and car washers and they are really not that good at that. Perhaps you should start a training school for butlers and cooks. That would really get the economy booming down there doncha think:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:
