None that I'm aware of other than the B+Bs. For those it's said you need long advanced reservations.
How about going just a bit farther and staying at the Coral? You won't do any better than that.

We recently stayed at El Mezon Del Vino phone 044 646 151-2137, ask for Omar, he speaks English if you don't speak Spanish, very clean and quite, nice small Restaurant there.
About $50 to $60 a night. Off the main road about a quarter of a mile.

Lots of great places to stay, just keep in mind that weekend our tours groups
and booked way out. Week days are okay. Restaurants close at 6 during the
week. So plan ahead. But you will find a funky taco stand in town. Fun safe
place to stop.

Just a footnote, grmpb...
If you plan on going to the Valley during the Fiesta de Vendemia, August 7-23, there are no rooms available.

I would not suggest that you eat at the Hotel Coral.

Been there, done that.:barf::barf:

There are way too many great places to eat and stay. Just not enough time to do it all!
