BOLA museum

Does anyone know if the interesting little museum at LA Bay still has a pelican skin on display? There was one there a while back, but I'm not sure whether it's peermanent or was on loan.

I remember a penguin skin somewhere.......

Maybe it wasn't there.

That wasn't intended to be weird. I'm writing about the extinct Baja Indians, who used pelican skins for pillows and clothing. I want to mention it because the thing was so unexpectedly beautiful--never would have known what it was if there hadn't been a sign.

Lera,

You might try posting your question over on Mia's Bahia message board.

http://www.bahiadelosangeles.info/message-board/index.php

There are a few locals who frequent her board and volunteer at the museum. Hopefully someone can look that up for you.

Good luck,

I stumbled upon that jewel, and really enjoyed it. That was years ago, is it still there?

Thanks, Paulina, I'll try that.

Go to your room, DK!
