Boat certificate for Loreto, Mexico

While we were in Loreto, we were told that we needed a Mexican boat certificate to keep our boat in Mexico in addition to the boat title and proof of insurance.

The boaters we spoke with in Loreto said they had the certificate and they were easy to get. However, we've tried the Mexican consulate here in our town, but can not connect with them.

Does anyone know what this paper is about?

Thank you...ragsi

Sounds like the Importation Permit. Here in La Paz you get it out at the ferry terminal, $50 USD. Good for 10 years. Ask around in Loreto about the Importation permit.

Is their a link I can go to do this Importation paperwork online?

Thank you, gratefully.
