WHAT IS A BAJA NOMAD ?

What is a Baja Nomad? That is the Question.

A person who lives in Baja and returns to the States?

A person who visits Baja and lives in another Country?

A person who has never been to Baja but is influenced by the Stories they hear?

Easy---a Baja Nomad is a person who knows how to register and use a forum.

Nothing more, nothing less---from there, it is a collection of highly individual people.

None of the above.
They were indiginous folks who wandered the penninsula in search of food and shelter centuries ago.:P

Seriously Skeet, a BajaNomad, Diane nailed it.

All of the above and more. A true Baja nomad takes in what others say. absorbs the natural beauty , lives by the soft easy rules while they're here, and learns to love the warmth and love that goes with it.
A nomad who cannot stand loud music stays away from the beach at night especially weekends and buys ear plugs for those holidays the natives might want to celebrate
A true nomad loves what he gets and respects the rights of others in the land he visits

Very Good Diane:

To go a little further ;

What makes a Good BajaNomad??

My first view of the Sea of Cortez.
My first view of a "Fish-pileup"
My first Dorado.
Respecting and getting the respect of the Mesican people.
When they put their trust in me to sell their Property.
And most of all when the Doctors at the General Hospital in Constitution saved the Life of my Wife!

I could go on forever but you seemed to have "Hit the Nail on the head"

Thank you.

Vegabondos Del Mar?

Skeets, it's whatever you want it to be!
Or whatever anyone else wants it to be!
Personally, I think it is a person who searches Baja for whatever they want.

Peace(tranquilo), Love(bonita mujers), Fish tacos(fish tacos)!

Any questions?

Oh Udo... way, way too nice!!

There are plenty of Nomads who haven't met me to know I am nice... since a few here actually think I am mean or something??? LOL

I am glad you like the maps, history, trip stories, etc.

Remember to plan a weekend day for you and Janna to visit whe we are not in Baja!

DK- Anyone who thinks you are mean is not a Baja Nomad. Your enthusiasm for Baja is unsurpassed. You have brought so much to this forum.

That doesn't sound like a Baja Nomad to me Zac... a very sad description.

It is people like you and I who enjoy solitude as well as camping with friends... Exploring places and sharing our photos... Promoting places to help the locals... Helping others... Ferna's toy drive, and more...

THAT IS WHAT A BAJA NOMAD IS (to me).

In a literal sense I guess it would be one who explores Baja on a more carnal level; one who feels a natural gravitation to a place of solitude and beauty.

But I guess you can just say its someone who is registered to this website too :)
