Is there a landmark? Is it a hotel?

It's across the highway from this place.

Hotel, RV park, gas station, zoo. It's all that.

They used to sell turtle shells in their store years ago. I still have mine.

Seems like I've seen it about a mile inland from Colonet on the highway. Greg

In 'downtown' Santo Tomas: Restaurant, Curio shop, Motel, Gas station on the west side of Hwy. 1 and the RV park/ campground is on the east side, across the highway from the restaurant.

Oh ya, I know El Palomar. I have some great photos from across the street. I came back and there was a awesome rainbow. I will try to download them.

Ooh, ooh, ooh! Pick Me! I know! Mr. Kotter!

At the military checkpoint at the top of the grade above (North) of Santo Tomas Valley.

I stare at its beauty every time we are waiting to be cleared and, sadly, are going back to the "real" world..
