could we consider dumping the current off topic?
Perhaps a poll could be started to see if there is enough interest. The current off topic is a cess pool of ignorance and inhospitable rantings from
both sides of the political/social fence. It does not really allow for courteous off topic postings from decent respectful Nomads. Could we not just
dump it and create a polite off topic that is moderated to some degree. The rude ones could then take their rantings to another location on the web!
I'm sure there are a myriad of sites for them out there!

Just find a way to present your topic to the main board. More often than not, in spite of it not being pure Baja, it will stay up. If it doesn't
you may want to re-examin the content of the post for unacceptible content.

Good, but do you agree that the current off-topic is a major cesspool with more personal attacks than any real discussion?
Difficult to have a conversation or discussion while wading through the sludge.

I agree that censorship is bad but like jdtrotter I feel that there is almost no merit to what goes on in the current OT. I have never been provoked
into creative thoughtful contemplation by anything that has been said there. Now I just avoid it like the plague, to me its a waste of bandwidth that
could otherwise be put to better use for the benefit of others on this board. Anyway I created a poll so lets see.

Sure..I agree wholeheartedly. Ken is being a jerk with his saturation game and others use the forum to wipe themselves.
None the less, it's their right to do that.
You know, Diane...there are a hundred hoarhouses in Ensenada. Do you go into them just because they're there? I doubt it. On the other
hand....you don't try to have them closed down, do you? I doubt it.
Just consider the OT another hoarhouse and forget about the place until it changes.

Without Ken, Bill would be making the majority of posts at OT. Would you accuse him of saturation?
In defense of those posting at OT, Santiago, Gypsy Jan, and Taco de Baja seem to have no problem making coherent and intelligent statements while
leaving out the racial slurs.
An alternative to warm and fuzzy at OT is to get a dog.
