See my July (Baja 709) trip report for the exact numbers... Depends on the dollar to peso exchange... ~$2.20/ gallon last month.

Because of their location and the way the question was asked I believe that Bob and Susan have the correct price, you have to remember the price of gas depends where in Mexico you are...There are prices along borders that reflect prices in other countries, for instance there are different prices along the US border, the Guatemalan border and the Belize border... they are called Frontera Prices... the rest of the country is in the Resto del Pais column paying the price of fuel with a 15% IVA Tax) then Baja pays the Resto del Pais cost of fuel but at a 10% IVA....I also believe the prices of fuel were frozen in 2008...

They are giving you a deal. Our bank in Nogales, MX (associated ATM) gave us a conversion of 12.8:1 a couple of days ago. Also Gas is more than Diesel on the mainland.

Remember in Baja the VAT is 10%, on the mainland it's 15% so gas costs 5% more there.
