Does anyone have the contact information for a Starchoice/Shaw distributor installer in the Los Cabos area. We got a quote from one person here that
want $2,400 dollars for equipment and installation for a HD DVR and dish. That seems WAY high to me.
I don't have an address in canada to use. The equipment on line is only $499. Hmmm.
Any Ideas?
No b-tchin\' in the Baja.

there's lots of folks out there that will give your starchoice at A LOT less than $2400...a lot less....the difference between starchoice and skyy is
that skyy is mexican, for the most part so get ready for mostly mexican stations...starchoice is canadian and just about all the stations are
northerners...it might be better for you...ask around...you'll find someone who will help you...but if i told you the name of my provider, i'd have to
kill you...that would screw up my winter
dyslexia is never having to say you\'re yrros.

SKY TV
Many Mexican channels. No USA broadcast network channels (CBS, NBC....) but a few channels that show US shows (Sony Channel, American Network...) HBO
is HBO Latin America. Shows are subtitled in Spanish, but HBO LA is trending towards more Spanish Language content. If a US film has scenes with
subtitled foreign language, the English subtitles are replaced with Spanish ones. Same for the movie channels.
Sports: Fox and ESPN feeds for US sports. Sometimes in English (ESPN) but often the US feed has the volume reduced for a Spanish language overlay of
commentary. Takes out field and crowd noise, a bad deal. And of course, soccer futbol 24/7. NFL Sunday Ticket is available for extra, I don't know
what language(s).
News: CNN International, has some CNN programming but mostly keeps you informed on events in Africa, Tasmania, and the Asian sub-continent, and of
coursethe latest in cricket and rugby. Astonishingly boring, but can be used as an emergency anesthetic. And that other news channel that causes more
long term brain damage is also available. For an extra charge I think BBC is available, as well as some business news networks like Bloomberg.
No Comedy channel. Cartoons are all in Spanish, except The Simpsons is available in both. South Park...in Spanish! Ren and Stimpy, Spanish! Arrgg!

Satellite TV
There is a guy on the San Carlos boards named DOM who is really up on Sat TV and FTA. The nFusion brand FTA receivers automatically download updates
via the internet and provide amazing Sat TV South of the Border. Worth looking into nFusion before spending money on other FTA equipment.
Only valuable if you have Internet available.
