GONZAGA BAY BEACH IS HISTORY???
This morning I read a report over at www.bloodydecks.com stating that the pristine beach at Gonzaga Bay is history...he reports they are putting in a sea wall and boardwalk????
We are headed down there in 2 weeks...can anybody confirm this??

What part of 'Gonzaga Bay' and who is spending money for that?
There is no town there... just private homes or palapas along the beach at all four main campos (Papa Fernandez, Alfonsina's, Beluga, Punta Final).

Latest update is that Alfonsina's area and Campo Beluga are untouched...something about "Rafael's area" being torn up??....Is this the Rancho Grande
palapas???

There is no logical reason for a sea wall or a boardwalk. And IF such were to be constructed, it would have to meet environmental and building
criteria. This type of project would usually be a municipal undertaking.

We were at our house at Alfy's for the last two weeks. Rodriguez's Rancho Grande is building a sea wall and some other construction at their beach
south of Alfonsina's....just to the south of their runway.
They are anticipating the traffic brought by the new road which will/may be done in a couple of years.
Alfy's beech is untouched. Rancho Grande filled in an estuary that existed where the palapas and new sea wall are about 20 years ago....they created
the beach down there. Most of us think that God is gonna reclaim the estuary in a hurricane one of these days.
Any hurricane that arrives at Gonzaga Bay during a high tide will wipe the place off the map. Luckily for us all of them so far have hit us at low
tide. Also, most hurricanes fall apart over the peninsula or the cold water at Pt. San Francisquito about 150 miles south of us.

Why do you think they are building a brand new highway from San Felipe to Gonzaga Bay? Who do you think owns it? Ensenada is even turning down permits
for landowners that want to develop their campos so that the prices stay low for a certain person (and groups) to buy up the campos.
Believe it - it is happening. There is much more to it than that but then I have to listen to all the conspiracy theory crap so...
Also here is another thing that is coming soon. Code inspections. They actually have electrical and plumbing codes. They are going to be sending
inspectors to check to make sure people are compliant (after the fact). And if you aren't you will have to pay a fine and then tear it out and put it
in the right way. Hmmmm. Same thing they did when they sent the social sercurity collectors down 2-5 years after the homes were already built here in
San Felipe. If the contractor didn't pay - well guess who did plus interest.
Calderone told his people to tighten their belts. Well they are getting creative. Holy smokes it will be an interesting few years.

didn't some outfit out of Mexicali buy up a bunch of view around punta Final couple years back, like 300,000 hetares or so?
thought i read about it.
Gonzaga and area would make a great resort site - with a decent road i'd expect change.
