Darlin' we are in your camp. The sad thing is that completely inaccurate and hateful posts such as Squid's linger in one's mind, and corrupt all the positive stuff we want to exude, so let's just forget it all, get on with our own lives, and continue to enjoy the wonderful people of our tight-knit community, those wonderful [people like Mick who are larger than life.

Hi everyone, first off I would like to introduce myself. I am Mick Chapman of Cortez Explorers.

I will not hide behind a fictitious name, such as "Squid" for instance. I would like to publicly thank those of you that have stated some nice things about myself and my diving and personal credentials, but feel I also need to reply to the person (I understand that "squid" is female) also in public.

Squid, an open text to you. It would be nice if you were to come out from hiding behind your nickname, and go public also. I have no idea who you are, where you receive your information from, and indeed your comments about my son, Maria and myself are beyond the "personal" mark I feel.

I can state quite categorically that I have NEVER, and I mean NEVER walked through town without a shirt on my back, with or without my son. Equally, he would never do the same for respect of the locals. We both lived and worked in the Middle East before I came to Baja, and I certainly learned there that such behavior is not appropriate. So, you are very wrong there.

As to Maria's and my relationship, that is non of your damned business. Maria is actually in the States on her own personal business at this time, and equally, that is non of your business either. I find your statements extremely distasteful in the extreme.

Now to the state of my DC. For your information, and others that are reading this, I have all the furniture from the house here at the DC right now as the house took a 12ft hit of water, so in one way you are correct, the place looks a little like a second hand stall, but for the moment, there is little I can do about that. At least it is clean and I am ready to teach/dive at anytime. I have to ask how you have your information, as I do not know of any Mexican lady that has been in my DC even over the last six months. Hearsay is not good enough, you really do need proof when making such derogatory statements.

Now to my temper. I do not get angry easily, but when I do, I do go to town, especially with people like yourself that have it seems nothing better to do than slander other people while hiding behind a pseudonym. I wonder why you do that?? I'll tell you why I get angry. It is mostly over the idiot talk that goes on here in Mulege from people that it seems have nothing better to do with their lives than drink and talk about people behind their backs, and/or behind a nickname. I get quite frustrated with people like yourself that truly have no idea what they are talking about, but either make things up, or embellish the fiction of others. The world of small towns/places are full of people such as yourself.

So I challenge you "Squid", make your real name public, and even come into my DC and sit down and talk with me face to face. I can handle that, can you??

Finally, to quote your good self: "In one word, he's a looser." Maybe you should learn to spell as well as get your facts straight by doing some research and reconnaissance before opening your computer to rubbish people/situations that you really have no knowledge of. Also, "he's a loser" (correct spelling) is three words!!

I might publicly suggest you get a life as well as getting your facts straight.

I actually wonder if you are Mexican. I wonder if you come from another European country like myself. Say Germany for instance!! However, one can only figure that out if you reveal your true identity.

Thanks once again to you more understanding, and more informed people out there.

Mick Chapman

liar you are.
walking through town w/o shirt on was not only done once.
And my nationality? well, I like the european idea!!!(nea, not really)
Your temper and bad manners??? Everybody in Mulege knows that you have no selfcontrol.
Oh, not to forget: Ask 1.000 other nomads first :fire:to let go their nicknames, will you?

Gee, sure seems like a little unresolved anger here. Sure hope you get it together before you rupture a gasket or something. Seems a lot like the post she made to Dennis on another subject. Sure needs some blood pressure meds and maybe a tranquilizer or two as well as a little better hold on reality.

You better don't.

Or in other words - just in case you don't catch the point like mostly: You have no manners, no standards and nade else.

Squid, I would reply to the following as below. From you tonight:

liar you are.
walking through town w/o shirt on was not only done once.
And my nationality? well, I like the european idea!!!(nea, not really)
Your temper and bad manners??? Everybody in Mulege knows that you have no selfcontrol.
Oh, not to forget: Ask 1.000 other nomads first :fire:to let go their nicknames, will you?

You really are something else squid. You still hide behind a nickname, yet have the effrontery to call me a liar. That is called cowardice!!

I repeat, I have NEVER walked through town without a shirt on my back. It is that simple. You are getting boring not only to myself it seems, but other people also. I count about 14 other posts here that either kindly back me directly, or have a go at you directly. I do not see one post that backs you up, not one. Therefore, I see no back up either for your statement that everyone in Mulege knows I have no self control.
There are only two people I have ever had a run in with in the three and a half years I have been in Mulege. One was quite recent with a person that threatened to shoot Maria's dog, and the other is a German, and I told him in no uncertain terms what to do with himself. Maybe you are that person, and still hiding behind a pseudonym, and maybe then again, you are not.

As regards asking other people what their real names are, they are not trying to slam me into the deck for some unknown reason. I am asking YOU. I am publicly challenging YOU squid, no one else. Are YOU up to that challenge or not?? If so, tell the world your name, AND come into my DC and talk to me face to face. If you are not willing to face the world, and stand up and be counted for what you believe to be true, then I suggest, just as last night, that you get a life and stop trying to screw others around with disinformation, sheer lies and conjecture. Stand up for what you believe in.

One final thing. I wonder if you would be so kind as to tell me, via this forum, what I might ever have done to you to make you so bitter, so negative towards myself. I don't mind, tell the world, just be honest about something for once. Still, it seems to me that I am not the only person you have gotten your knickers in a twist over since you started posting.

Reveal your name or shut up.

M Chapman

Thank you Beachgirl, you do my ego good!!

I actually agree with you on the fact that this is getting out of hand, stupid even, but I simply cannot, at least at this stage, let myself be walked over by someone that refuses to disclose their real identity while making slanderous remarks. None of which he/she can substantiate. So I am willing to drop the subject, but do reserve the right to defend myself publicly if attacked in the same fashion.

As to going fishing, I prefer diving, but could always change my mind once in a while!!

It's good to see a new thread with some drama since the "Turtle Bust" thread has been thankfully put out of our misery.

Thank you (David) dtbushpilot, only 999 Nomads to go!!

Now to something else...

Ladies and gentlemen, Mick here again. This is a straight and honest question. Stupid I know, but I would like to see a few answers please before I open my big mouth, lose my obvious bad temper, because I am a very bad mannered Englishman, walking half naked around town.

Do Mexican Nationals require an FM3??

Yes, just a simple question there, but your enlightened answers will be gratefully received and noted. Thanks!!

hey mick...welcome to nomadlandia...sorry it took this crap to get you posting here but we look forward to some fun and interesting posts from you in the future...not related to this trash.....so anyway...nope, mexican nationals dont need an FM3.

I also want to say....I have seen you without a shirt.. and as I recall when you visited us...you put a shirt on when we came in. Mick has always been extremely polite, respectful and very helpful even when he's on holiday....unlike many gringos.

pretty much everyone knows I'm shari...no hiding...so 998 to go.
have a great day Mick....shirt on or off.

Good morning Shari and Dennis,

Thanks for the answers ref FM3's for Mexican nationals. I never believed any different, and as I wrote, I understood it was a stupid question to start with. However, I just wanted to make sure I had facts in my corner so to speak. If I get a few more answers the same, I'll believe I have enough to state some interesting facts. So might I suggest you watch this space.

Have a good day one and all.
