Maybe he let you pitch a tent on his property and you could spend a few years down there to see if you like it.
Nothing like thorough research.

Gee... 'On the Pacific, due west of La Paz and 70 miles north of Todos Santos' is pretty exact to most...
Do you have a map?
Rob has posted the name of his location on Nomad before, so it is no secret... It is on all detailed maps dating back more than 70 years.

If you want warm air and warm water you need to go to mainland Mex. I was in Z-land for Thanksgiving, water 80+ air about 86, nearly perfect.

Z-land? If this keeps up, I’ll have to start looking for my decoder ring.

The pacific coast of baja is pretty windy in many places. You should take that into consideration when looking for the perfect spot. Guerrero Negro
has the temperatures you seek but few consider it a great vacation spot.
In my opinion you need to compromise a bit and find ways to deal with the weather during the months it isn't 'perfect'.

I’m looking for a quiet place to live, with clean air and fresh vegetables available. I speak fluent Spanish and can fit anywhere in Latin America,
but for practical reasons, I prefer to stay close to the States.

RANCHO LA AGUJA LOCATION
Yeah - sorry Tano, no location mystery - just didn't think you wanted it exact. That 70 miles north of Todos does make a difference -we are much less
humid in summer. In fact you cannot pry us off the ranch in summer - it's totally beautiful, moderate temps, great fishing and 15F cooler than the
Cortez coast.
Thr price of this ocean influence? In April/May when the sea temp has fallen off a cliff, the afternoons are breezy/windy and cool while La Paz is
perfect.
We wouldn't swap! You are very welcome to visit (as are Nomads in general) - U2U if you are going to be in the area.

Warm ain't the word for it, try 100-120 in July and August.
Late Sept to mid Dec, temps in SF about 60-90.
Mid Dec through Jan, kinda coolish.
Feb through June, 60s-90s.
