No disrespect to noamd BajaGeoff, but the fact is that even those kiosks around the border offer coverage from the same insurance companies. It's probably more important to find a broker that has access to the most Mexican insurance conpanies. It's called comparison shopping. Last I recall, Lewis & Lewis deal with two Mexican Insurers. Bajabound has more. Mexadventure even more. I'm just trying to educate the consumer here.

Bajabound!!!!!!

I really don't care who carries the most companies....I want service with a real person, when I need it. I have called and talked to Geoff, I have met Geoff, he visits baja, he supports this site and other charity causes and he has my business.

For good service use BajaBound or Discover Baja Travel Club.
For irregular service but slightly cheaper prices use Lewis and Lewis.
With Discover, you also have to buy the club membership but they can also send FMT's and fishing permits.

Vagabundos is another good one. I started with them years ago, before I knew of Geoff and Bajabound, so I have stuck with them. Nomads have been saying good things about Geoff though. That is about the best reference you can get.

Thanks guys!

Pretty much everyone selling insurance at the border or online is a broker for one or more insurance companies in Mexico. The main differences are the customer service you get from the broker and the price and features of the insurance policies they offer.
