Thanks, Fred. Does that mean the road surface is lumpy and uncomfortable? I hate spilling my c-cktail when I set it on the dash.:lol:

DENNIS, have you no shame? you should know that you should NEVER drink and drive. ESPECIALLY IN BAJA!!!!! you might hit a bump and spill.

Hey, thanks for all the info. I may take the idea to park at the actual campspots you guys suggested. I prefer to "rough it" and park on the fly wherever the view is great, but I do have concerns about parking alone down south near the highway. In BOLA I don't worry.

If you just need an overnight spot, then the Sinahi RV Park in El Rosario would work... If you want to spend some time on the beach, El Pabellon RV park is highly recommended by those who stayed there... It is a few miles south of the Cielito Lindo/ former La Pinta Hotel turnoff... well signed on Hwy. 1. Otherwise, that new RV park next to Jardines Restaurant/ Motel, just south of San Quintin (Km. 2-ish) looks nice.

If you have time to drive 76 more miles from El Rosario, then just past Cataviña is the paved sideroad to Rancho Santa Ynez where you can park in their open area... food served.
