Ana's

Haven't heard anything about Ana's at Santispac, are they still there? Is Russ and Lupe still running it?

Yes, Russ and Lupe are still there and the place is going great. They have some new help after Zulema flew the coop. Pepe's the bartender and knows his stuff...a nice guy. A cute new waitress, too.

Co-pilot and I just ate there tonight after driving back from Mulege and not feeling like cooking at home. It is Co-pilot's favorite place so far...but we have only eaten out...oh, let's see...about 10 times in the last two weeks.

I had my usual Hamburgesa con papas and she had garlic shrimp. The shrimp were great, she says. My California-style burger was so good I growled at anyone who came close to my plate...and the papas have improved over the normal Mexican greasy, limp fries. I 'think' these are made from mashed spuds and are definetely crispier.

Beers are super cold and ice water with every plate.

Do I get a free beer for this, Russ?

I do what the voices in my tackle box tell me.

Thanks you guys. As you probably know at one time we had a trailer and a palapa directly across the road on the beach from Ana's, so to say the least we spent our share of time there. Please tell them hello from Richard and Linda. He does not seem to ans. his email any more.
