camping in San Felipe

Hello Group. I have looked over various web sites and have some books on the campgrounds available in SF. Anybody have personal favorites and for which reasons? ALSO is their any worry about a campsite with the 15 amp service? I understand this may limit what appliances can be switched on, i.e. AC. Thanks!:D

Camping, right? What is the electricity for if you're camping? (okay, sorry... I couldn't help myself)

I can suggest camping places... but it sounds like you want an RV park of some kind... ? There is one of those places in El Dorado Ranch, but far from the beach... Maybe the RV parks in downtown San Felipe have the creature comforts of home, you seek... See them at the official San Felipe web site: http://www.sanfelipe.com.mx

San Felipe camping. El Dorado ranch does not have camping any more. Percebu does not have electric. Kiki's in town would be your best bet if you want power.

Well okay I guess i am looking for a "campground" with hookups. I will say I admire those of you that can fourwheel it into an isolated area and pitch the tent. I remember the days of tenting, back of the pickup bed, truck campers, etc. Finally picked up an older 22" class C. It does limit the places you can get to, but we love it. I believe that still qualifies as *camping*!. What the hell at 56 years young I deserve it......

We have rv camped in the S/F area for years. There are no hook up/ dump rv camps like in the states.
Playa Del Sol has a way to hook up to a long extension cord ,no good for a microwave.--they also have a dump$20.00 per night
Petes has a dump--no power
Puerticitos --was was on of our newest great suprise RV camp they have power 5:00pm to 10:00pm- not enought for a microwave but;-it will keep your batt's up. no dump ; but clean bathrooms and access to the hot tubs--you will need to negotiate to get them down to $20.00 per night

Keep your stuff locked up a lot of petty thefts lately --especially at Petes

Past Puertecitos is Campo La Costilla. Just past there, drive down the ravine and camp on the beach for free

and that's why I suggested you visit the San Felipe web site... I am not at all trying to put down your style of 'camping' (generator, did you say?)...

Happy Thanksgiving and have a great time!:D

I don't think I would like camping next to someone running their noisy generator!!! Last time that happened, the generator suffered a permanent malfunction! Stick to Petes camp.
