Prescriptions

Is there any precautions I need to do before crossing the border and traveling for three weeks throughout Baja with about 6 medicine prescriptions?

as long as they're in your name you're okay. any radical tranq's or freaky stuff better be small quantities. otherwise a doctors note in spanish might be advisable.

Original containers with persons name,
in the past, and it may well still take
place, Gringos after legally purchasing meds from
TJ faramacies, were accosted by Tj Police
on the sidewalk, threatening jail because
they lacked a Mex Perscription,
can't imagine any inspection by
Mex Authorities that would question those meds,
nor coming back into
the US, my rule of thumb about Mex travel
is to take redundant precautions,
and give no Authorities Mex or US,
the reason to question you or
give them any leverage

So much has to do with quantities. Even the US guys will usually allow what appears to be up to a 90 day supply. The regs are slightly ambiguous, in that they require the identity of the prescribing US physician. Does not specifically state that one must have an actual prescription in hand.

Don't take it for granted that you can get refills in Mexico.

ABSOLUTELY NO PROBLEMS, BUT YOU NEED AS MENTIONED, THE ORIGINAL PRESCRIPTION BOTTLE AND MOST IMPORTANT IS A COPY OF THE WRITTEN PRESCRITION, WITH YOUR NAME, ETC. ALL COOL.
