Looking for updates from TJ to Loreto, leaving 12-20-09

Hi,

We are making our bi-annual trip down to Loreto, leaving on December 20th, via Tijuana and I am hoping to get some updated info on the roads.

Thanks in advance,

Darrell

Hola Darrell, The road was in good shape in Oct/Nov. There was construction south of Maneadero for a couple of miles, but it's probably done or close to being done by now. Road between Santa Rosalia and Loreto was being worked on, as a couple of sections of road and bridges were being detoured, but they work working on it and had made very good progress within the 2 1/2 weeks we were in La Paz, so that section is probably done by now as well. Bien Viaje, Paul Boe

Went to Mulege and back in October and except for a few sections of construction the road was in the best shape I have seen for years. As boe4fun indicates most of the new construction is likely finished by now.

I was down past Loreto and Back to San Diego in late Nov. There were no problems on the road at all and only a few military checks.
