Camping
Not that we would want to but I'm just curious if Walmart in Baja allows overnight camping. We recently drove our motorhome to Fairbanks Alaska and
the Walmart parking lots throughout Western Canada and Alaska had many overnighters. Thanks Ron

sounds like a real fun camping adventure, camping on asphalt in a big mall parking lot... real exciting family vacation, collecting snapshots of your
adventures at wallymarts all over the continent
all you need is an old oil drum to have a campfire and invite the local homeless encampment to join you around the campfire for a bottle of
thunderbird and a sing along.

Goat,
It really is not about camping. When we had our small trailer and crossed the country, at times it was really nice to stop at a Wal-Mart for the
night---times when it was late and the next destination was a fair distance away. It was good to be able to just have a place to park and sleep.
Absinvestor, when we took our trailer on to the mainland of Mexico, we never stayed at a Wal-Mart, but there were a few times we stayed in a Pemex
parking lot or a restaurant or hotel parking lot when needed.

On edit and second thought, I have seen some long-terms campers in some Wal-Marts that definitely fit your description.

Thanks for the info. We have stayed in a Wal Mart parking lot twice in our lifetime. Once was heading for Seattle and hitting a major snow storm in
Montana and once in Wyoming when the wind whipped up to about 70mph blowing snow across the road making it slicker than an ice rink!! (In Montana the
Wal Mart service manager offered to throw me an extension cord so I could plug into their electricity!!) I personally try to stay off the Mexican
roads at night but if we find that we are far from our daily destination, and it is dark, a Pemex parking lot can look quite inviting. Ron

Walmart in Cabo? Where are there Baja Walmarts? I'm sure you'll find a much nicer place to put your MoHo in Baja than a Walmart parking lot. There
are camping beaches, RV parks, nice hard-packed dirt roads leading off Mex. 1. Experience the real Baja.

Life is good, Ron. Thanks. 95 to 97, I was living up in Valle Dorado so, I didn't know these folks. Where where you located?

Hi Dennis- We lived in a salmon colored house directly on the Bahia Todos Santos beach, At that time they called it the "spit." The house is about
halfway between La Jolla beach camp and the hotel/restaurant combination up the beach to the North. I used to catch some big Crokers casting into the
surf from our front yard!! Those were the good old days. The wife got homesick for the kids and grandkids so we returned to the States in early 1997.
