In the past several self defense/deterents have
been mentioned here, the paint ball gun
is a new one to me, sounds good, that clown
with his bailbondsman TV show, Dog Chapman,
carries some boozaka looking paintball guns
that apparently pack a punch, tazer, I would
make sure of it's legality in Mex,
I was in a camping store that had a bear
pepper spray in a 15 " cannister that appeared
it could shoot a ways

Nervous Nellies
Anyone who would consider their protection worthy of taking a tazer or paintball gun should perhaps rethink their trip. Why take the chance?
I'd stay home.

You can stay home,
I want to put it in my home in Mexico. Not for the trip down.
Just like my glock that I have in my home in Phoenix.

May as well go for the real thing as long as you don't intend to be plinking in the neighborhood. If things were really down to it, I wouldn't be
relying on paint balls to be saving my family's life.
I know...paint guns are better than nothing and all that baloney but, too iffy for a bad neighborhood.
Just get yourself prepared and don't tell anybody. If you have to use it, tell the police you took the Glock from the a-hole you shot with it. Make
sure you kill him.

I agree. Although you could TASER them with a laser sight from 30 feet (even after a few margaritas) and still get to shoot them. I don't think a
Glock is very believable for a street criminal down here though. If it's anyone serious about you down here- your glock or taser won't help. They
have AK-47's and will just spray you down.
Most crooks down here are simple opportunists. They're high on meth- and are either unarmed or just have a knife. A can of wasp spray, a sharp weed
machete and a roll of duct tape is enough for most situations. Dogs are also good. Alarms with a panic button are good. Cameras are just for
evidence after you are dead if you didn't do the other things right. JMO

That was the exact advice given to me by a Rosarito cop. He also reminded me that you should shoot a bullet or two in a couple of different walls so
it looks like you were struggling for the gun and it helps if they don't find him dead from four shots in the back...

It's always nice when the local police give their support. About two years ago when the first wave of crime went through Rosarito- we practiced our
security drills regularly- these days not so much. This months eventshave perked our ears up a little- but we aren't back to code red again yet...
