POST ABOUT SAN FELIPE
Can anyone tell me why my Nextels dont work in San Felipe?
Also I was on Craigslist and I saw some cheap lots in the Eldorado Ranch. Weren't there a recent rash of break ins at this location? This set of lots
had no electricity how does one get around that? Years ago when I visited Petes camp most trailer people had some cool solar set ups charging
batteries all day. These charging stations looked like little out houses on the lots. Last time I was in Eldorado thier security appeared to be tight
in the daylight hours.
Patty Bell MLS has listed these lots at $10K Could someone please advise me about these prices and whats the best place to buy thats cheap. Are there
lots fo 5K in the Ranch and can you get a fidecomiso on the lots?
I totally against the land lease option.
Thanks I Heart San Felipe!

To my knowlege at this moment, the only US cell phones that work around San Felipe are AT&T. They have a new deal for about $50 per month where
you can use your US roaming, rollover minutes for calls from Mexico to the US. The deal gives you 450 anytime roaming minutes a month that can
rollover. Minutes are good in the US and Mexico.
As for the solar lots in El Dorado Ranch, the dues for them are $482USD per year.

Donjulio, I must correct you on this point---EDR security force did not have lay offs at all. The people that were layed off were either employees of
Pat Butler/Developer or employees of Francisco Rangle the former leesee of Juanitos Cantina & The Palapa Bar. Security in EDR belongs to the HOA
& no one from HOA employees were layed off. Some were let go but because of not passing drug tests, not doing their job & maybe other reasons
but nothing to do with the ecomomy as the HOA does not do that. I can get you the correct numbers of Security if you like as my husband is Operations
Manager for the SAFE program which works closely with Security in EDR. I am also on the HOA Board of Supervisors so I know this to be true. There are
approximately 95 security people in EDR now.

Im still saying you are not correct in this. I dont need to ask Cliff as I already know. Security force has never been bigger than it is now. HOA does
NOT EVER LAY PEOPLE OFF! We pay security not PB. He can lay people off but not people the HOA pays.

Yes there are lots available in solar only areas or in mixed use areas with electric. There is no RV park anymore as they will not rent out spaces
anymore at El Cachanilla.

Mexicorn,
Go on down to San Felipe and have a look around. There are lots of great deals and there is an area for everyone...from solar lots (some already
developed with parking pads, water tanks etc. to houses (of all sizes) in both the mixed use and homes only areas. There was a rash of break ins on
the ranch this summer...as well as in other areas of San Felipe, but overall it is a safe and relatively crime free area. I am in the process of
building a house there and I've made many trips down there this past year. I notice that security is taking entrance at the gates very seriously and
I see their cars cruising the neighborhoods at all hours day and night. So, go on down, have a fish taco, a cold cerveza and take a look around.
Whenever I hear that rainy, chill wind blow. I think it may be time to head for Mexico. Tengo que obedecer mi corazon!

This is kind off on subject but since Pat Butler and El Dorado keep coming up, it reminds me of a scene a couple a years ago on "the road" to Gonzaga
when I stopped to help some guys who had a flat. Helped them inflate a tire and the gringo amongst them and I chatted...not sure how it came up but he
said Butler had bought up-is buying up- all the land along the coast towards Gonzaga in anticipation of the new road. Of course taking this with a
Mexican large grain of salt, I still wonder if real estate is tanking in San Felipe, what IS going to happen to all that land and who owns it? I
mentioned it on this board before but I do NOT understand the money being spent on that road when you have all that lousy/average paving between San
Felipe and Puertecitos which will be ripped up in the first major storm/hurricane. If it does become a major highway, we should all invest in a axle
repair shop just north or south of the "OH S*&T" dip!!!!!!

She also says PB is not buying any property down south, in fact he is selling his assets in that area he tells the HOA supervisors at a Nov Meeting
with him. He also has no business deals with Carlos Slim pending, so he told us himself.

All these stories about Carlos Slim are so old they are like 3 day old fish! Smell really bad & need to be thrown out!
I cannot even keep track anymore how many times I have heard that Carlos Slim is buying Eldorado Ranch!
