she is going to be taking over an orphanage and buying a house....I am not sure where exactly at she will be living. I am just trying to help her out.

Find out location, as that will be a factor in the advice you are asking for.

Also, can you estimate just how much stuff, and what type of stuff, she is trying to move? If she is thinking about furniture, you might advise her to buy in Mexico. If she is buying a house there are avenues that will allow you to bring down household items duty free. Others with more experience than I can fill in the details.

It's complicated.
