I think that is their runway. It use to have a windsock.
Whenever I drive past there I still can't believe I landed there.
Maybe it's not a runway.

fishbuck---I took the plane from Ensenada to Natividad via Cedros in 1986...definitely the way to go (speaking of which---the fishing is probably
good on Natividad as well---I remember seeing huge tuna boils all around the island there in August---those islands are interesting in that warm and
cold currents meet up there).

them for details |
We went to a office here in Ensenada a few months back called "Agency Delfin". They quoted us a price of $1,200. pesos (one way) and said they had
three flights a week direct to Cedros. Looks like this is the same group to me. |
This looks look the way to do it. That's about $100 US each way.
Drive to Ensenada, park my truck jump on the plane. Doesn't get much better. It's a 2 hour ride in the C-208B Cessna Grand Caravan!
By car that's 10 plus hours and about the same money in gas.

I figured that out looking at the map. Plus I think it's been mentioned here before.
That's a long drive off the highway. Someday I'll go out there. But if I make it that far I'll fish from P. Eugenia. I'm sure the fishing just as good
as Cedros.
It will be tough to drive past your road Shari!
But this trip is all about the least time and money + most fish = Best fishing trip ever.
This ain't no B. Asuncion drinking vacation.
I'll have to save that for some other time.

DC-3 Still flying Baja
I came across this beautifully restored DC-3 at San Felipe airport. It has new Jet-Prop engines and I think is used to market real estate to
prospective buyers. The logo on the tail is "Air Baja"

Parked at California City Airport on Oct 1, 2009. I think that's where it is now.
It was chartered by El Dorado Resort in San Felipe.

I'm having an idea to plan a Baja DC-3 trip.
I think it starts and ends at Brown Field in San Diego. That's right at the Otay Border Crossing.
Where next ?

She carries about 20 passengers plus crew. And cargo.
Full galley and lavatory.
Plenty of range and about 200mph.
Anywhere you want to go!

The ideal fishing option for you.
fishbuck, you really need to step up into one of these amphibs.
These birds will take you to Cedros, plus you can fish from them...the best of both worlds.

I do what the voices in my tackle box tell me.
