dennis....i respect your opinion but if you stick your head in a sportfishers' bait tank, you will usually find anchovies and sardines. perhaps the ones you are relating to are chunk bait which is usually mackeral or larger sardines and most generally not used for sushi, unless it's in a tuna tube, then it could be a smaller sashimi type of fish. nonetheless, to each his/her own.

Gypsy Jan....most regular markets carry coleman's mustard as well as powdered or paste wasabi. however, if you want the institutional type sizes, you would need to go to a larger oriental market, most likely in the u.s. when you are in baja, where would you be ? perhaps it would be better to u2u me.

I like to fish, but mostly catch and release.. I will keep a few salmon and the tuna.. like them smoked

How sad, but at least you are honest.

the best for sushi.

thanks will give it a try... just ran out of the powdered wasabi yesterday.. was using it on Baja style sauerkraut potatoes and bratwurst.. Baja style requires you have beer (your choice, I had a Tecate) which you pour into a glass and drink with your meal.. simple but a good change of pace.. not sure I will have it with sushi, maybe "fish sticks":lol:
