Camping at Punta Chivato
Does anyone know the status of the camping situation there? Is there still beachfront camping available?

As of today there is beach front camping but no services and no charge. I talked to the concessionaire the other day and as soon as he gets his crew
to do some improvements he'll start charging. I don't know how much. There are a couple of regulars down there now.

Hi Russ
I have always told myself I will stop on the way to/from Loreto but have not had the time "to stop and smelled the roses."
How far off the main hwy is it and how is the road? I have a 30 foot Rv that has been down some rough roads but still try and baby it a little bit. I
will be driving North from Loreto around April 5th and might like to finally take a look
Thanks for the info.

The road in is about 10 miles to camp beach. Turn in at the first road heading N at Palo Verde. before the bus stop. It is rough but you won't loose
any plates if ya just take your time. Motor Homes do it all the time. I think the trip is worth it. Of course I do. I move here after my second trip.
You'll want to plan on a couple days though. It's a road you don't want to play on two days in a row. Yes, there is a dump "station". do a search
here. There are some write ups about it recently. By April it should be a going camp ground with water and regular trash p/u. Remember Easter is the
4th and this beach can be a total zoo. I would avoid traveling the first week of April. Just too many drunks!

LYM ,In a car 45min+/- In a MH double that. I live about 4 miles from the camp beach. Or 2 as the crow flies. Again the last week of March through
Easter will be a mad house at all the RV/camping site in this area. There were some posts last year showing Concepcion beaches. I wish you a really
good time.

We would like to go to Punta Chivato. Is the campground up and running and how much is the charge, or is the situation still the same as in February.
We would be there in 2 weeks.
Thanks a lot!!!

I haven't been out to the camping beach in months but don't think there are any services yet nor charges. I'll try to get some info for you. Do you
have a time frame in mind?
