WEATHER-02/26-02/28

---I must be looking in all the wrong places for [somewhat] accurate weather for Baja. Would anyone have any info on this coming weekend's weather for this coming weekend-02/26-02/28?

---I get seriously conflicting reports from NOAA and a few others that say-windy/rain to 72f and Sunny...traveling through Baja Norte Sierra San Pedro Martir/Rancho El Coyote and West Coast/San Quintin.

THANKS-SOTO

Here is a good site... you pick a city... I picked Ensenada... and the weather calls for showers that weekend: http://www.intellicast.com/Local/Weather.aspx?location=MXBC0...

I found this web site for weather in mexico very helpful. We use it mostly for wind speeds. Don't want to get caught in bad wind on the Sea of Cortez. Nasty. If you have Goolge toolbar it will translate to english.

Nogaps and GFS weather models

I don't know how well you can read an animated weather model, but these are what the Forecasters use to make their temperature and rainfall guestimates.

These are mobile surface map animated forecast projections. Basically the closer the lines(isobars) the stronger the wind, the stronger the storm.

The darker the green the heavier the predicted rain. When you see blues and purples forecast just a few days away, they really expect the storm to have a lot of energy.

These models accurately predicted a modest rain event the day before Superbowl Sunday 8 days beforehand.
