Good mechanic in Tijuana

Do any of you out there know of a good mechanic/garage in Tijuana that you could recommend? Specifically looking to repair or replace the transmission on a Ford Ranger. Thanks.

Hi Linda,

Not in TJ, but we are satisfied customers of a very good auto repair place in Rosarito, about 30 miles south.

If you think that it will work for you, I will publish details.

Thanks Jan - actually I'm trying to gather this info for a good friend in the San Diego area. His local garage NOB quoted him such an exorbitantly expensive price for transmission work on his Ranger that he is exploring other options. The truck is still driveable and can make it to TJ, but I don't know if he wants to go as far as Rosarito - will check, but I kind of doubt that he'd want to go that far.

At least that answers the question that went through my head when I saw your post. Couldn't understand why you would drive so far North to have repairs.:light:
