La Paz city area code

Bass
If you are dialing from the US dial 01152 1 612 and then the cell number.

To dial cell phones in Mexico from the US, you have to add a 1 before the number.

the area code is 612 and one of the city codes for fixed phone is 152 but there might be more....122, 140, 348, 107,155,121,119 or 166 are some cell city codes for la paz

how you dial depends where you are dialing from for the numbers before that...for example from la mision house phone you would dial 045 then 612 then the number of the cell phone....from a cell you would just dial the area code 612 then the number.....hope that helps.

Thanks, it is the same as dialing the Ensenada area, I thought the "52" might be different for down south.

Isn't it also true that the person receiving the call gets charged but the person making the call does not? I seem to remember calling somebody from GN a bunch of times one day and using up their minutes....

I think you pay on both ends! Thanks folks, the calls went right thru. My better half is driving to La Paz this weekend on a job and house search. One step closer to moving south!:biggrin::biggrin:
