TJ GPS File Help Please -Lowarance Baja 540C

Installed my Lowarance Baja 540 C in my new vehicle. Was checking out our planned route and discovered I'm missing the TJ file. Does anyone have a line on the TJ file for Lowarance or update? Bought the map from PCI Race Radios (I think its a BICI map, if I remember correctly) and haven't heard a peep out of them. Need to move fast, so any help that you could share, would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!!

Why would you need that? Don't you know how to get to the toll road?

I've heard they now sell an portable ice machine with built-in GPS. The perfect gift for the intrepid Baja adventurer.

Well, I've been lost in TJ so I can understand what you mean. Trouble is, if you take your eyes off the road while trying to look at your GPS, you're screwed.

Oh yeah....it's the "nasty weather shut-in syndrome."

Have you seen those ice machines? Not only do they tell you you're in the wrong place, there's a built in beer maker on the bottom. They've come a long way.

I'll tell you one thing, you poo-pooers of technology, when trapecing through the wilds, that Baja map shows you the routes (even the single track routes). Hell, even the Green Door Trail is on there. Bummer TJ is missing and I didn't discover that a year ago (and Mexicali is off by a couple of streets). Its largely geared for the races, but the city layouts are helpful too.

Not that I don't appreciate D&;D's insight, still looking for some real help here if anyone has the goods.

Geez. I thought I was clicking on a link to a Marilyn chambers movie, but what do I get? A 1956 song by Jim Lowe!

Well, since I'm not getting any love from you guys, I went trolling elsewhere. For you off-road types, PCI race radios does have a new map for Lowrance ($12 upgrade). For those that want an ice-maker, well, I can't help you.....no one can.

Mr.D, I have used the Lowrance Baja 540 alot. Don't totally trust any of the down-loaded maps. Make sure to take traditional paper maps along also. Also, make sure the hockey puck type antenna is locate at least three feet from the unit or it will give you seriously wrong info. Good luck and have a fun trip!
