If you are coming to the Old Mill or Don Eddies area, take the road to Jardines to get there. The road to the Old Mill near highway 1 is in bad shape right now.

The Jardines driveway is a km. or two south of the signed Old Mill driveway...

I believe Jardines' own directions on their web site refers to the turnoff to the Old Mill, right at the big green overhead sign. However, the next road south has a small billboard for Jardines. That road has been in much better shape than the old Mill road for at least a couple of years.

Jardines is Open for business, Old Mill is closed for renovation, Don Eddies looks deserted, talked to some that said they had dinner one night but were told restaurant wouldn't be open the next day, erratic hours at Don Eddies right now.

Some of the RV parks are still OK after the storm, Osunas South of San Quintin had some damage and they expect to re-open in a couple of months.

El Pabellon faired pretty good as did Celito Lindo.

The new Mission Santa Maria (Old Desert Inn) just re-opened, got a tour and it was nice. Reasonably priced too & right on the beach.

Are you talking about the Old Mill restaurant being closed, which it has been for quite awhile now or are you talking about the hotel, which was open last month?

Hola pascuale, when i was at the old mill this past october for three days, the old mill hotel was open and don eddies restaurant was only open one day that i was there and the market about a block or so away was sporatically open. i would suggest you taking some supplies in the event you can't have a meal in that area although el jardin is just a short drive away and is very good.

you may even consider staying at jardines ? i hear rave reviews about the small hotel and restaurant.

A WORD OF CAUTION: i fished out of TIBURON'S PANGAS and they will quote you one price and when you get back from fishing, they'll add to that price. they hit me up for $ 100.00 U.S. for trolling, which couldn't be more than about five miles. i have been told by the locals that this is their standard practice. BEWARE !! and...pass the word. i hate getting screwed !!!!

for fishing info, i suggest you sign on to bloodydecks.com. they are just as responsive and informative as this wonderful site.
