Need Mileage Info and FM-T advice!

Hey Nomads...I know there is someone out there that can help me out. Here's the deal ~ we are leaving for our trip on the 19th, crossing the border on the 20th (not sure where yet, but I'll get to that later). This trip is going to be a bit different than trips that we normally take, as we have an actual agenda (for at least part of it) and we won't be camping as much as we usually do.

I am wondering where I can find mileage information. I know that the info exists, and it is probably in one of many Baja books, but I was hoping for a website, or something that I can put in our destination and get an estimated travel time. Sort of like mapquest, but obviously they don't do Baja ~ idiots! Any ideas? Or do I just have to do it the old fashioned way? Maybe I could just put the places we are going and let one of you guys tell me how far! I'll try that :)

La Fonda to El Rosario:
El Rosario to GN:
GN to San Ignacio:
GN to Mulege:
Mulege to Todos Santos:
San Ignacio to Asuncion:
Asuncion to El Rosario:

Also, as we have not yet decided on where we are crossing, what is y'all's experience crossing in:
San Luis?
Mexicali?
Tecate?

I am most curious about getting our FM-T's as we will be needing them for the rest of our journey. The last time we crossed in Tecate, the border guy told us we had to get them in TJ, so despite our efforts to avoid TJ, we ended up there anyway. Now, I know that the FM-T is available in Tecate (right?) but we apparently didn't ask for the right thing. Where do we go to get it, pay for it, etc. I am going to need explicit details, as "the store across the street" just isn't going to cut it :)
Would this be easier accomplished in TJ? I don't mind driving as it takes minimal effort at immigration because we do know where to go and how to do it there, but....it's TJ, you know?

Thanks in advance Nomads!! You are the best (and the worst, but we won't get into that  )

Here's a mileage chart. You can approximate intermediate distances.

sweet! Thanks Dennis...that's exactly what I was looking for, in that regard. I know I have one that is similar, I'm just stuck in my chair at the moment with my coffee and a warm fire, and I don't want to go looking for the book :)

Fred Metcalf has a lot of good tips including a distance chart that is easier to read and has Guerrero Negro spelled correctly!

Thanks bajaguy! I will show the U2U to Lionel and see if he thinks that's the better option. Thank you for the info, we have never crossed in Otay, so that might be the way to go this time :)

Is the FM-T easy to acquire in Otay?

Check your u2u for more information.

Oh, please do not copy and publish U2Us --- they are not met to be public.

Have Fun

Thank you Diana, and no, I wouldn't publish it, I know that they aren't meant to be public. Besides, that's just rude. Thank you again for the info, it's very helpful.
