Crossing San Ysidro southbound in PM. How long?
I came northbound Wed 3/17, about 5:30PM to cross in SY. Easy line northbound, about 15 minutes. BUT as I drove north on the 805, the southbound
traffic to get into TJ was backed up past the Trolley bridge clear to the next overhead, at least a mile away from the border! And I`ve no idea how
the 5 was. Anyone been stuck in that mess? I`m wondering, how long is the wait to get into Mexico on a typical weekday afternoon?

Brutally long, avoid. I work with guys that live in Playas and wait until 6:30 or later to cross.
Haven't had a bad trip yet....

Which day? What time? How bad might you have to take a leak when you realize you are stuck in line and can't get off?
Lots of variables.

Took us 90 minutes Tuesday at 4:30pm. We thought we'd be ahead of it. Got off the 5 at San Ysidro Blvd to hit "Tom's Tacos". Tried to get back on
the 805 a block down to cross, but no one would let us in (or the dozens of others). We went straight through to the right instead- all the way up to
the duty-free shops loop (Pedestrian drop off to enter Mexico). We waited to get through the light heading back and were still ahead of the people
who wouldn't let us merge when we got back on the 5. Did I mention we just hit the taco shop- so at least I wasn't cranky...

LOOOOOONG; full of impatient, bad drivers ......... avoid if at all possible... I work in the mountain region and cross at Tecate to avoid the mess
(as of today) if you go any time after 3pm on a weekday it is easily over an hour.

Right now they are doing construction on the Mexican side of the San Ysidro port of entry. As a result, the left two lanes are closed entering Mexco.

Wow... and the Rosarito government people were on TV yesterday and are blaming the U.S. passport requirement for bad tourism!

We crossed last Friday night at about 7:00PM. Took about 40 minutes with 6 lanes open.
