Tent Trailer hot water heater question

I could not fire up my hot water heater on our last camping trip, on our new (to us, 2005) tent trailer. At home, as I tried to fire it up, and inspect it, I noticed two wires on the backside of the "control start switch". These wires are both white, about 18 gauge....The problem seems to be....zero gas to the unit when the pilot switch is depressed.....all other gas appliances work great ( heater, inside and outside stove).
Could these two wires be attached to a on/off float switch? I do not have a manual for the unit. Thanks for any advice or help, Ron

Without knowing what unit/fuel your are using, I can only give you a general suggestion. One of the most common problems is dead bugs inside your plumbing. Take it apart and clean all the fuel piping and the regulator. The fuel pressure in propane units is very low -- about 2.5 psi -- so the gas won't get by any blockage.

Common problem when they sit dormant for any length of time. The thermocouple will need to be changed. Nothing to worry about.

Thanks! That was quick. I'll look into both tips, Ron
