Pesos stop before crossing into TJ

Hey gang,

Would anyone know what time the Peso stands open up in San Ysidro on Friday morning? We're getting a fairly early start and will be at the border by 7 a.m.

Thanks, BW

Not sure about Peso stands, however, you may want to think about ATM machines as they most likely will have a better exchange rate. Depending on where you are headed there is a very convenient one on Mex 1 at the south end of Ensenada near the Bufadora turnoff. Jim

There are two locations in that area....Bancomer and Calimax. Another in Mid-Maneadero at Ma. Luisa's grocery store, on the inland side of Mex 1.

I was referring to Bancomer. Calimax is a relatively recent addition, and I had no idea about Ma. Luisa's.

Look like this will do it. I figured there would be a place open early.

I often get Pesos at CV Costco, but I'm having a busy week, and the traffic is not in my favor...

When we cross at Tecate we get them at the little place on the left just outside the border...

When we enter through Mexicali they are everywhere before leaving town...

This trip we are to enter at TJ for 3 nights in La Bocana BCN, then over below San Felipe for 6 nights.

Thanks you all for the information!

BW
