Lots of heavy showers passing through all night last night and this morning here in San Diego. It's headed even further South. The radar I saw shows
it going all the way down near Ensenada, maybe even further, as it is predicted to head SE across Northern Baja.

Late last night on the patio, we were makiing bets on rain before morning. It looked like a sure thing because of all the large dark cumulus drifting
over the mountains from the Far Side...the Pacific.
Was mildly exciting laying out there.
But..come the dawn, it's back to the same ol' same ol'..just more sunshine and balmy weather...sigh.

The rain we've had in San Diego hasn't been enough to fill my water barrels. A good rain storm would fill them in 1/2 hr. However, this is a COLD
storm. Hail, and in higher elevations like Tecate and Catavina, could be freezing overnight. San Diego County got 8 in. of snow at 4200 ft.
yesterday. Flooding probably not a factor vis a vis travel, but rock slides into the highway, si.

Hola Don Jorge...hey, how you doing, amigo? Good to hear you are heading our way.
Here's some news.
"Guess Who is Coming to Dinner"?
We pick up the Purple Sage at Loreto airport today. I couldn't avoid having him here for the next week.
As you know, we go back a few years.....

George...plan to stay with us overnight. Co-pilot, Randy, and I are entered in the Pinto Derby Saturday at Ana's, Santispac. We fish at dawn!
Events at Santispac will be from 1-7 PM most likely. Awards, fish dinner, dancing, putting the Purple Sage to bed, etc..
Unfortunately, the Sage will be bringing his own hideous coffee..Peats. As for beer, he still swills anything put in front of him.
Think RAIN for all the farms! California and Up North.

Rained all night here out on the beach with a few more showers this morning. Going to be a great year for the local farmers this year...

I tried the living life above the snow line for a couple of years. Major force in the reason I am now living down on the beach...

I am sorry about the apples though...

It's nice to be home! Still a little buzzed from 14 hours behind the wheel. Kinda like getting off the boat after a full days fishing. Rained from
Laguna to Encinidas then showers to Ensanada (sp).7am Ensanada traffic and heavy showers very slow! Then the nightmare! San Quitin area really sucks
in the rain! My car is a dirt clog now. After SQ traffic was light and showers lightened up as I drove South.

Last night we had a beautiful soft rain in Asuncion, -- you know, the kind where you hear it on the roof but it's not flooding you out, so you snuggle
under the blankets and go back to sleep. Today the sun shines brightly, and the ground is still wet.

We had the exact same kind of night out here on the beach in San Quintin. Woke up to a beautiful sunny morning...
